Throughout his career, Leo has built a strong track record representing both lenders and borrowers, navigating a wide range of challenging financing transactions. His expertise covers complex areas such as acquisition finance, real estate finance, project finance, and structured finance, ensuring tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.

His client-sector focus includes advising lenders and borrowers in banking and financial services, real estate, energy, automotive, defense, and telecommunications and media industries. His client portfolio comprises major Czech and international banks, multinational corporations, and local investors.

  • Advising VARTA AG, a German manufacturer of batteries for the global automotive, industrial, and consumer markets, on the successful completion of a complex financial, operative, and strategic restructuring.
  • Advising TI Fluid Systems, UK multinational company that develops, manufactures and supplies systems for the storage, transport and delivery of automotive fluids, in connection with its take-private acquisition by ABC Technologies and related financing.
  • Advising Aareal Bank on acquisition financing of a portfolio of Hoxton (and Mama Shelter) branded hotels in four jurisdictions.
  • Advising Marq Logistics (formerly GLP/Gazeley Limited), a leading global business developer and operator of logistics real estate, data centers, renewable energy and related technology, recently acquired by Ares Management Corporation, in connection with the amendment and top-up to the real estate financing led by Deutsche Pfandbriefbank. The financing covered a portfolio of logistic properties in Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary.
  • Advising a leading Czech energy network with a diversified portfolio of heating, electricity, water, waste-to-energy and energy performance contracting services, on an amendment to and restatement of the Senior Facility Agreement, various waivers and security package.
  • Advising a club of banks led by Česká spořitelna, the largest bank by number of clients on the Czech market, in connection with syndicated financing of the development of the industrial and logistics park "BMW Distribution Hub Mošnov". The industrial park, comprising approximately 170,000 square meters of leasable area, will become one of the largest industrial parks in the region and is being developed as a built-to-suit project for BMW AG.
  • Advising a major player in the ammunition and defense technology sector, and a long-standing client, in connection with a revolving loan provided by a major Czech bank.
  • Advising Česká spořitelna in connection with refinancing of an office building, owned by a Korean investor, which is the first building of its kind in the world to have smog absorption and air emission reduction technology.
  • Advising Discovery Group, a property investment and development company, on the seventh amendment and restatement of a previous facility agreement for financing of a shopping centre in Zlín, Czech Republic, by Komerční banka, a.s.
  • Advising UBM Development in connection with financings for the development of multiple residential projects, including Astrid Garden, Arcus City and Na Plzeňce. The Arcus City project also comprised the first sustainable timber apartment building in Prague.
  • Advising Česká spořitelna in connection with the financings of two office projects, ZET.office in Brno and Mayhouse in Prague, controlled by CPI.
  • Advising Česká spořitelna in connection with financing of the development of the residential building META in Prague 4, developed on a brownfield site by KKCG Real Estate and ALMA Development.
  • Advising one of the largest Czech-based banks in connection with financings for, among others, the development of phases I and II of the luxury residential project “Pomezí” in Prague by KKCG Real Estate, development of logistics parks by Accolade and Panattoni, Centro Zlín shopping centre, the largest shopping centre in the Zlín region, the mixed-use property Na Příkopě 14 in the historical centre of Prague, acquisition of Krakov shopping centre in Prague, and acquisition of a historical mixed-use property in Vodičkova Street in Prague.
