Russian Government approves Double Tax Treaty with UAE
On 29 May 2025, the Russian government has approved the Double Tax Treaty (DTT) between the UAE and Russia. The new DTT will replace the previous treaty of 2011. We will report on further developments as they occur.
Double Tax Treaty between Bahrain and UAE enters into force
On 1 May 2025, the Bahrain - UAE DTT entered into force, which treaty generally applies from 1 January 2026 for withholding and other taxes. Further developments will be reported as they occur.
Croatia approves Double Tax Treaty with Saudi Arabia
On 6 June 2025, the Croatian parliament has approved the DTT with Saudi Arabia. We will report on further developments as they occur.
Kuwait and Qatar sign Double Tax Treaty
On 1 June 2025, Kuwait and Qatar have signed a DTT in Kuwait. Further developments will be reported as they occur.
Oman and Kazakhstan sign Double Tax Treaty
On 30 May 2025, Oman and Kazakhstan have signed a DTT in Astana, Kazakhstan. We will report on further developments as they occur.
Bahrain ratifies Double Tax Treaty with Oman
On 23 June 2025, Bahrain has ratified the DTT with Oman. Further developments will be reported as they occur.
Luxembourg approves Double Tax Treaty with Oman
On 25 June 2025, the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies has approved the DTT with Oman. We will report on further developments as they occur.
Kuwait approves Double Tax Treaty with San Marino
On 5 May 2025, the Kuwaiti Council of Ministers has approved the DTT with San Marino. Further developments will be reported as they occur.
Conclusion
The GCC Member States continue expanding and updating their Double Tax Treaty networks for the benefit of international businesses.
