DLA Piper advises MiddleGame on EUR8.5 million Blockpit funding round

DLA Piper’s corporate team in Austria has advised Luxembourg-based fintech venture capital firm MiddleGame Ventures on its EUR8.5 million investment in the Linz-based crypto startup Blockpit.

Founded in 2017, Blockpit specialises in crypto tax reporting software that automatically calculates taxable profits from crypto asset trading. The funding round is intended to further develop the current software and further the expansion of the business to other countries. In addition to advising lead investor MiddleGame, DLA Piper coordinated other investors including Fabric Ventures, Force over Mass Capital, Tioga Capital, and Avaloq Ventures.

The team was led by Vienna-based Corporate partner Christoph Mager, supported by counsel Johanna Höltl and senior associate Christian Knauder.
