Christopher Eide


Chris Eide's practice concentrates on domestic and international patent prosecution, IP strategic planning, IP due diligence, technology licensing and intellectual property disputes involving complex technology. He has worked on matters involving such critical areas, such as Internet and software technology, natural language processing, machine learning, virtual and augmented reality technology, unmanned aerial vehicle software and hardware, semiconductors, data storage and medical devices.

Chris provides patent prosecution and counseling services to companies of all sizes, from industry leaders such as a California-based global smartphone and computer manufacturer to early-stage companies seeking investment.

  • Represented a multinational computer technology corporation in a high-stakes patent infringement suit in the Northern District of California relating to Java technology and before the US Patent and Trademark Office in various reexamination proceedings.
  • Represented a chemical engineering and manufacturing company in the Eastern District of Texas in a patent litigation concerning short-wavelength laser diodes and LEDs. The matter was settled favorably shortly after the construction claim hearing.
