DLA Piper (Canada) LLP shortlisted for LMG Life Sciences Awards 2022

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is thrilled to be shortlisted as Canadian Product Liability Firm of the Year, Life Cycle Firm of the Year - Canada and Canadian Financial & Corporate Firm of the Year, by the LMG Life Sciences Awards 2022.

One of the most respected awards programs for life sciences practitioners and firms in the United States, Canada and Europe, awardees are determined through a rigorous research process that aims to survey excellent legal service over a 12-month period. David Neave (product liability), Noam Goodman (finance and corporate)  and Geoff Mowatt (patents) have once again  been shortlisted in the area of individual practitioner awards:

David Neave - Canadian Product Liability Attorney of the Year: David has extensive experience in defending class proceedings and has acted in more than 40 class actions brought in a wide range of areas. His work in the Life Sciences Sector ‎‎includes current ‎retainers in complex pan - Canadian class ‎‎action and individual claims for a number of leading international pharmaceutical and medical products manufacturers.‎

Noam Goodman - Canadian Financial & Corporate Attorney of the Year: Noam Goodman represents a diverse group of Canadian and US Life Sciences companies in supply chain matters, mergers and acquisitions and licensing transactions. Noam has also been at the forefront of legal developments for electronic health records in Canada. ‎‎

Geoff Mowatt - Canadian Patent Strategy Practitioner of the Year: Geoff Mowatt is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Patent Law. He has experience in all aspects of intellectual property litigation, ranging from pre-litigation opinions to appearing before the Ontario Court, Federal Court, and Federal Court of Appeal. He has worked with counsel in other jurisdictions, including the United States, Europe and Australia, to co-ordinate the Canadian part of multi-jurisdictional lawsuits.
