Alberto Rubio

Alberto Rubio is a senior associate in the Finance department of DLA Piper Spain.

Alberto has been actively involved in advising banks, financial institutions and institutional investors, as well as any financed company, both national and international, in the closing of all types of financing operations (corporate financing, acquisition financing (LBOs), real estate financing, project financing, etc.). He has also worked on complex debt refinancing and restructuring processes, both nationally and internationally, and has recently been involved in financing transactions through bond issues (private placements). He is also a member of the Sports Finance group, having advised on some of the major sports and stadium financings in Spain.

Alberto is also accustomed to working on multi-jurisdictional transactions, both leading teams in multiple jurisdictions and supporting the lead counsel (whether in-house or external) with any necessary local input in larger cross-border transactions. He maintains regular contact with several financial advisors active in the Spanish market.

He has contributed to publications on issues related to the granting and documentation of financing transactions in specialised local media.
