Angela Agrusa named to the Daily Journal’s 2023 Top 100 Lawyers list
DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Angela Agrusa, the firm’s Los Angeles managing partner, was named to the Daily Journal’s 2023 Top 100 Lawyers list honoring the top attorneys in California. This marks her second consecutive year on the prestigious list.
In the Daily Journal’s profile of Agrusa, the publication noted her representation of Danone in first-of-its-kind impact litigation, as well as her work defending Motel 6 against allegations of complicity in human trafficking. In the Motel 6 cases, the Daily Journal noted, Agrusa has repeatedly managed to reach resolutions that “avoid the revictimization of survivors and allow the direction of resources to programs that support victim advocacy.”
Agrusa is one of a handful of attorneys in this country hired to defend clients in bet-the-brand litigation and in cases where unique legal theories are advanced or when the court of public opinion threatens to overpower justice in the courtroom. She has successfully defended her clients in more than 50 putative class actions with combined potential exposure of over US$100 billion in the last five years alone, and her track record has resulted in long-term partnerships with numerous iconic brands.
Agrusa has previously been named to The American Lawyer’s Trailblazers: West list and the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers, LA500, Women of Influence, and Top Litigators and Trial Attorneys lists, among other recognitions.
