DLA Piper guides Darkhive’s US$30 million Series B financing

DLA Piper advised Darkhive, a veteran-led aerospace and defense technology firm, on its US$30 million Series B financing. 

The funding helps the company advance its US$49.7 million Accelerate the Procurement and Fielding of Innovative Technologies (APFIT) contract with the Pentagon – APFIT’s largest award to date. RTX Ventures led the round.

“This financing is a pivotal step in Darkhive moving from breakthrough technology to real-world production and delivery,” said Sarah Chambless, the DLA Piper Partner who led the deal team. “It’s been rewarding to work with the company over multiple funding rounds, helping position them for success.”

In addition to Chambless (Los Angeles), the DLA Piper deal team included Partners Nicholas Klein and Jana del-Cerro (both Washington, DC) and Associates Melinda Banki and Jack Haimowitz (both Los Angeles).
