Joshua Fox

Josh leads DLA Piper's Corporate team in Boston, a group of attorneys that represent businesses throughout their lifecycles, including on company formation and other early-stage matters; angel, venture capital, and strategic financings; mergers and acquisitions; and the day-to-day legal and business issues that arise in their operations.

Josh works closely with founders, management teams, and investors throughout the innovation ecosystem. He serves as outside counsel to emerging companies, providing practical legal and business guidance as they build, finance, and scale their operations. His practice focuses particularly on fundraising transactions and exit events, helping clients navigate significant transactional milestones. Josh works with clients across the life sciences and technology sectors, including companies focused on therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics, tools, energy, and software.

His representative experience includes helping the following clients:

• Quaise Energy since inception, advising on all of its financings, including its $180 million Series B financing, which, at the time, brought the company's total funding to $280 million
• Axoft on all of its financings, including its $55 million Series A financing, which, at the time, brought the company's total funding to $60 million
• Topo Therapeutics
• NanoView Biosciences on all of its financings and its acquisition by Unchained Labs
• Hopewell Therapeutics, including its $25 million Seed financing
• Aquinnah Pharmaceuticals since inception, advising on all of its financings, including its $15 million financing from Pfizer Inc., AbbVie Inc. and Takeda Pharmaceuticals
