Whilst working in the London office of DLA Piper, James advised on cross-border mergers and acquisitions (both public and private), private equity transactions and warranty & indemnity insurance matters.

James completed 2 secondments to the in-house legal team of AIG in London: from March to August 2024, and from July to October 2025.

  • Tungsten Corporation plc on its c. GBP70.6m takeover by Kofax Inc.
  • Nampak International on the $68.5m sale of Nampak Bevcan Nigeria to Alucan Investment.
  • Communify Fincentric on its $12m acquisition of Finextra Research Group.
  • Three Hills on its investment in Operam Education Group.
  • IQ-EQ on its acquisition of Laven Compliance.
