About

Elisa is the Legal Director of the Intellectual Property and Technology Department at DLA Piper’s Madrid office. She has over 10 years of experience providing legal advice to multinational companies on all operational and regulatory aspects of their business, focusing on compliance with applicable laws from a regulatory, contractual, e-commerce, advertising, consumer protection, and privacy perspective.

Her professional experience includes advising leading companies in the entertainment, technology, pharmaceutical, consumer goods, fashion, and food sectors.

She currently co-leads the Entertainment and Gaming Law Group at DLA Piper Spain, based in the Madrid office.

Elisa has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, particularly in technology outsourcing. She advises companies in the entertainment sector on all regulatory, e-commerce, and advertising matters, as well as on the drafting and negotiation of sponsorship, promotion, and marketing agreements.

Data Privacy & Data Protection

She has broad experience advising on privacy and data protection matters in Spain, ensuring clients’ compliance with stringent applicable data protection regulations, as well as cybersecurity issues. Elisa specializes in advising clients on the new EU regulatory framework for digital transformation (EU Digital Decade).

Life Sciences

Elisa has extensive experience advising leading companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology sectors on regulatory matters, as well as in reviewing and negotiating license, distribution, and supply agreements. She also handles the review and negotiation of clinical trial, study, and research agreements, including informed consent documentation. Additionally, she advises clients on the implications these agreements may have regarding the processing of personal data of affected individuals.

EXPERIENCE

Her experience include advising:

  • Some of the largest multinational online gaming operators in the betting and online gaming sector on obtaining their gaming licenses in Spain, and regularly advises leading operators on their activities in Spain from a regulatory, commercial, and advertising perspective.
  • In the negotiation of major sponsorship and marketing agreements with leading sports clubs in Spain.
  • Several leading companies in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors from a regulatory perspective. She has also been involved in reviewing and negotiating significant agreements related to clinical trials, observational studies, and clinical research.
  • One of Spain’s leading banks on drafting and negotiating technology commercial agreements, including outsourcing contracts, software licensing, and cooperation agreements for technology development.
  • In the financial sector on cybersecurity matters, particularly in adapting their contracts to the requirements of the DORA Regulation.
