Advised Xinfra Fibra E, the first Fibra E of 2022, in its first M&A transaction consisting in the acquisition of a majority stake in the Celaya Highway Project

Advised a professional services company in the acquisition of a minority stake in a proptech operating in Mexico

Assisted one of the world’s largest processors and marketers of chicken, beef and pork, as Mexican counsel, in its US$400 million sale to the subsidiary of a food processing company

Assisted the shareholders of a chocolate company in the sale of 100 percent of its shares to a multinational food company

Prior Experience

Before joining DLA Piper, Mauricio was a partner of an international firm, where he was a member of the M&A LatAm group. Mauricio additionally worked as a foreign associate at a major firm in New York, where he assisted in complex M&A and private equity transactions involving target companies in Europe and Latin America.

Additional Information

Mauricio worked as a professor for the Transactional Approach to Mergers & Acquisitions course at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
