Annie O’Connor advises on a wide range of issues relating to EU and UK environmental and health & safety matters, product and chemicals regulation, ESG and climate change laws.

Annie’s experience includes advising clients on a variety of regulatory issues involved in bringing products to market, including ecodesign obligations, the use and transport of regulated substances and chemicals, packaging and labelling requirements, and various aspects of environmental marketing and “greenwashing”. She also advises on issues relating to product safety and product recall, as well as extended producer responsibility obligations and the management of end-of-life products and waste.

Annie provides ongoing support to various clients on the rapidly-developing EU “Green Deal” laws, including those relating to corporate sustainability due diligence and reporting, renewable energy and energy performance of buildings, and the EU Emissions Trading System.

Annie also has extensive experience advising on the environmental and health & safety aspects of large commercial and real estate transactions, particularly looking at contaminated land issues and environmental insurance.
