Lars Reubekeul has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the German and pan European real estate markets, which helps his clients to create strategic investment opportunities and portfolios. Along with his highly experienced, multilingual team, Lars advises on national and cross-border real estate and data center projects.

He has a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach and sees relationships and trust as the key drivers of his practice. This enables him to steer his clients successfully through the challenges posed by the often complex nature of real estate matters. Lars' clients include institutional investors, funds, private firms, asset management platforms, family offices and corporations.

Lars heads the German Real Estate group at DLA Piper.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising Principal Asset Management on the acquisition of a data center hub in Düsseldorf for its first European data centre fund.
  • Advising CyrusOne, a developer and operator of data centers, on the acquisition of an approx. 60,000 sqm site in the Frankfurt Westside on the realization, execution of the development and leasing.
  • Advising an investor consortium under the leadership of MEAG and Infranity, together with funds affiliated with DigitalBridge Group, Inc., in the formation of a joint venture with Vantage Data Centers.
  • Advising Blackstone as local counsel on a $7 billion joint venture with Digital Realty to develop hyperscale data centres in Frankfurt, Paris and Northern Virginia.
  • Advising a global software company on a strategic partnership with Microsoft that will use cloud technology to innovate and develop new products and solutions.
  • Advising a JV of a US PE fund on the acquisition of the greenfield, the project development and the forward deal for the new headquarters and distribution centre of a major US textile company.
  • Advising AXA Investment Managers on the acquisition of Northstar Realty Europe. The portfolio consists of 122,000 sqm with twelve office buildings and two hotels.
