Alastair Clough's wide practice covers environmental, health and safety law and product safety as well as compliance matters.
He has particular experience in contaminated land and waste management issues and in assessing and allocating environmental liability risk in transactions.
His legal skills are complemented by a background in environmental based studies allowing him to understand client issues from both a legal and technical perspective.
He is also a founding member of the firm's Mining sector.
Alastair acts for many clients in the industrial, waste and mineral sectors as well as for public bodies and development clients. He advises on all aspects of environmental and health and safety law, carbon law and product stewardship issues.
Alastair's work regularly involves liaison as part of a team including environmental consultants, contractors, insurance brokers and environmental insurers. He is skilled in negotiating all relevant appointments and documentation.
