DLA Piper adds Caitlin Morgan as a partner in the firm’s Litigation practice
DLA Piper is pleased to welcome Caitlin Morgan as a Dallas-based partner in the firm’s Litigation practice group and Media, Sport and Entertainment industry group.
Caitlin’s sports practice emphasizes litigation, where she routinely advises sports organizations in class actions, multi-district litigation and commercial business disputes at the state and federal levels. Caitlin’s notable work within the sports industry includes representing collegiate organizations regarding athletic grant-in-aid, name, image and likeness, concussions, return-to-play issues, licensing and telecast rights agreements.
In addition to Caitlin’s extensive work in the sports industry, she is a proficient litigator with significant trial experience in state and federal courts. Outside of the sports industry, Caitlin regularly handles large class action multi-district litigation matters ranging from aviation to oil and gas. She regularly counsels clients in matters involving contractual disputes, business dissolutions, breach of fiduciary duty claims, assets purchase and stock purchase agreements, and is relied upon to deliver cost-effective results for her client’s business goals.
“We are excited to welcome Caitlin and know her wide range of litigation experience, from complex electronic discovery issues through dispositive motions, trial and appeal, will be greatly valued by our clients,” said Loren Brown, chair of the firm’s U.S. Disputes practice.
“Caitlin’s arrival continues the growth of our litigation practice in Texas,” said Marc Katz, the firm’s Dallas managing partner. “She understands her clients’ business objectives, offers creative solutions, and is an ideal addition to our team of attorneys.”
