About

Céline Espesson’s practice focuses on both French and European competition law as well as Foreign subsidies Regulation and Foreign Direct Investment.

She advises clients on both cartels and unilateral practices.

Before joining DLA Piper as a Counsel, Celine has worked for several years within the French competition authority as case handler and European advisor where she has acquired particular knowledge on healthcare and digital-related sectors by participating to institutional works within various European and international forum.

Céline has developed a very comprehensive practice in competition law and specially in the context of antitrust investigations and has a sound knowledge of antitrust procedures. She assists clients in preventing anti-competitive practices by conducting trainings and audits as well as during a wide range of contentious procedures (dawn raids, sectorial inquiries and complaints for both plaintiffs and defenders).

She also has a significant experience in advising industrial and private equity clients in merger control matters in various sectors. She assists clients in the process of obtaining clearance before French and European competition authorities and coordinates local counsels in multi-jurisdictional notifications.
