Since qualifying in September 2003 Scott has had experience in a broad range of commercial property transactions. In particular, Scott has advised investors in sale and purchase transactions and has completed numerous due diligence exercises. Scott has wide experience in dealing with lease transactions of office and retail properties and portfolio management (acting for both landlords and corporate occupier tenants) including development agreements.
Scott also advises banks and borrowers in respect of security work and real estate financing. Scott has acted for care home operators in a number of transactions including purchases, leases and refinances. Scott has acted for residential developers in preparing Deeds of Conditions in respect of residential development sites and supervises all stages of residential developments including conclusion of missives and plot sales. Scott works closely with colleague's in DLA Piper's corporate and banking teams.
