Dr Isaschar Nicolaysen has extensive, longstanding experience in advising national and international clients with respect to complex national and cross-border M&A and private equity related transactions. He is leading respective M&A teams across DLA Piper offices in support of his clients to successfully accomplish the complex processes inherent in such projects. Isaschar is also assisting his clients in the areas of acquisition finance, joint ventures as well as the restructuring and reorganisation of groups of companies.

His clients are operating, inter alia, in the areas of energy, life science, agribusiness, chemicals, technology, automotive and aviation.

Isaschar is particularly engaged in the Life Sciences Sector and as a member of the global Life Sciences Group of DLA Piper is serving a variety of clients in the pharmaceutical, medical devices and biosciences business.

Due to his skills in the Swedish language, Isaschar furthermore pursues a strong interest for Swedish corporate and company law.

  • Advising Yamaha Moter Co. on the acquisition of electric marine propulsion manufacturer Torqeedo Group from Deutz AG.
  • Advising Uniper Group on the sale of its marine fuels trading business in UAE to Montfort Group and the Private Office of Scheichs Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum.
  • Advising global Rosen Group, a provder of asset integrity services to the gas and oil industry for critical industrial assets, such as pipelines, installations and equipment, on the sale of a majority stake to private markets firm Partners Group,
  • Advising HCL Technologies, a leading global technology company, on the acquisition of German automotive engineering services company ASAP Group from ZF Friedrichshafen AG.
  • Advising Syngenta in the bidding process for Bayer's divestiture of its seeds and crop science business in the context of the Monsanto merger.
  • Advising US technology company Qualcomm Incorporated on the establishment of a multinational joint venture with TDK Corporation, involving the SAW business of EPCOS AG, with a transaction volume of ca. EUR3bn.
  • Advising HCL Technologies, a leading global technology company, on the joint acquisition with Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank of the IT consulting company gbs - Gesellschaft für Banksysteme GmbH from Atruvia AG.
  • Advising The China Navigation Company, a subsidiary of the Swire Group, on its acquisition of the bulk shipping business from Hamburg Süd/Maersk.
