DLA Piper advises AN Venture Partners in Tortugas Neuroscience’s US$75.5 million Series A financing
DLA Piper advised AN Venture Partners, a venture capital firm, in the US$75.5 million Series A financing of Tortugas Neuroscience, Inc., a neurology-focused biotech company.
Tortugas Neuroscience launched with US$106 million in seed and Series A financings to advance a clinical-stage pipeline targeting major neurology and neuropsychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia, tinnitus, and focal epilepsy, among other high, unmet need central nervous system indications. The funding will support ongoing research and development initiatives, including the completion of Phase 2 clinical trials for its two lead candidates.
The deal team was led by Partner Josh Seidenfeld (Palo Alto), who leads the firm’s Northern California Corporate and Securities practice, and included Partners Christine Daya (Washington, DC), Lauren Murdza (Philadelphia), Yoni Tuchman (Los Angeles), and Christina Houston (Wilmington), as well as Associates Andrew Dietrick (Philadelphia), Matthew Larson (Washington, DC), and Thomas Heiser (Miami).
