Oliver Schmidt advises on corporate law matters.

His practice focuses on private equity and M&A transactions, venture capital financings, and investments in national and international investment funds.

A particular focus of his work lies in advising on company acquisitions and disposals, especially exit transactions involving venture capital-backed companies. He also advises venture capital investors and start-ups on financing rounds, including capital increases and convertible loans, and has experience in structuring equity participation arrangements and corporate governance matters.

In addition, he advises institutional investors, fund-of-funds and family offices on investments in closed- and open-ended funds – in particular international private equity funds. His work includes the review and negotiation of fund documentation as well as the structuring and implementation of direct and indirect co-investments.
