DLA Piper appoints new partner to its London Corporate practice

DLA Piper is further strengthening its Corporate practice in London with the appointment of Russell Holden as a partner in the London office. He joins from Taylor Wessing where he has been a partner since 2012 and will start on 3 July.

Russell’s practice is a mix of ECM and M&A work advising both companies and investment banks on UK and cross-border transactions, primarily in the technology, life sciences and real estate sectors. On the ECM side, he advises on IPOs and secondary fundraisings for both issuers and investment banks on both the Main Market and AIM. This includes corporate governance advice to boards, relating to issues such as board composition, governance and announcement requirements. On the M&A side, Russell has led both private and public transactions, buy-side and sell-side, for a mix of listed and private companies.

Jon Kenworthy, UK Head of Corporate, commented: “Russell is a perfect fit for DLA Piper’s Corporate practice and our global footprint. His skillset means that he will not only bolster our existing Capital Markets capability but also work on wider M&A matters, as market conditions dictate. We look forward to him joining the firm and adding further bench strength and experience to our successful team.”
