Brendan Smith

Brendan maintains a broad corporate commercial practice with a focus on investment fund formations, investments and capital markets transactions.

Brendan regularly assists asset managers and institutional investors across the spectrum of fund-related transactions, including formations, investments, co-investments and divestitures. Brendan also regularly advises public and private companies and underwriters in connection with stock exchange listings, corporate finance transactions, acquisitions and ongoing corporate governance matters.

Brendan also has extensive experience advising securities dealers, advisers and investment fund managers on securities registration and compliance matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Brendan served as legal counsel at the Ontario Securities Commission.‎
