Francisco is an expert lawyer specializing in tax advisory. His primary focus is international tax law, but he also works in all major areas of tax law, including corporate income tax, personal income tax, VAT, wealth taxes, and environmental taxes.

Francisco has led cross-border structuring and reorganization processes for international groups investing in Chile and Chilean companies or businesses expanding abroad. He also handles the clients' day-to-day tax matters and advises on various tax issues that strengthen their position when making business decisions.

In addition, he has been involved in numerous M&A transactions, project financing, tax due diligence processes (seller, buyer, and underwriting), and reorganizations of international groups with underlying assets in Chile. Francisco also assists his clients in audit processes and dispute resolution regarding applying Double Taxation Agreements and International Tax Law.

Francisco is a Double Taxation Agreements and International Tax Law professor, teaching classes in Chile and abroad. He is regularly invited to speak at various seminars and panels discussing the latest trends in International Tax Law, such as OECD Pillars I and II, taxation of crypto assets, hybrid financing, principal purpose test, global tax policy, and governance, among other topics.
