About

Brooke Goodlett advises public and private companies in global compliance and corporate and securities law matters. Her practice focuses on compliance with global regulations on sustainability, environmental and human rights impacts and risks. She serves as a member of the Advisory Board of the University of Texas Global Sustainability Leadership Institute, and works with the institute to study emerging issues in corporate sustainability.

In addition, Brooke leads the corporate legal data analytics team, which provides peer and industry benchmarking services, bespoke data collection and data visualizations related to corporate sustainability, environmental and social practices, governance and disclosure practices, deal terms and other corporate matters. The team also undertakes AI-related projects, including applying artificial intelligence tools to legal data analysis and research, giving its undergraduate pre-law interns hands-on experience with legal data analytics and AI.

  • Numerous publicly traded companies on environmental and social governance (ESG) governance practices, policies and public disclosure, ESG benchmarking, and responding to emerging ESG regulations and stakeholder priorities
  • European and Asia-Pacific (APAC) asset managers on compliance with US federal and state ESG and "anti-ESG" laws
  • Publicly traded and private companies on ESG-related due diligence and negotiating ESG representations in mergers and acquisitions and venture capital transactions
  • Numerous public and privately held technology companies (from start-up to publicly traded) in general corporate advices, board and governance matters and Securites and Exchange Commission (SEC) and investor disclosure matters
