DLA Piper Canada welcomes associate David McDonald

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes David McDonald to the firm’s Calgary office in the Employment and Labour group.

David’s practice focuses on all areas concerning employment, labour, and administrative law.

David has appeared before all levels of Court in New Brunswick and represented clients on matters before Occupational Health and Safety Act arbitration, Public Service Labour Relations adjudication, Canada Labour Code adjudication, and the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission.

His experience includes negotiating agreements, drafting various pleadings, court documents, memoranda, opinions, employment agreements, policies, and briefs with respect to employment standards, labour grievances, human rights, occupational health and safety, and complex multi-jurisdictional and multi-party disputes.

David takes pride in developing strong and long-lasting relationships with clients while providing an exceptional legal product in a practical and efficient manner.

David was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and the surrounding area. After practicing law in Saint John, New Brunswick for the past two years, David is excited to return home to Calgary to be near his family.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, David worked for a long-standing boutique firm in Saint John, New Brunswick, with expertise in employment and labour, administrative, and corporate/commercial.
