About

Jamin Koo advises clients across a broad range of tax issues, including international and domestic tax planning and acquisition and financing transactions. He frequently works with US and non-US clients (in particular, companies headquartered in Asia) on cross-border investments, joint ventures, and restructurings.

Leveraging a unique background in engineering and environmental science, Jamin has become a go-to advisor for tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS and Science Act, regularly helping clients maximize and monetize tax credits. Jamin's deep engagement with the regulatory process is evidenced by his numerous comment letters to the Treasury and the IRS, which have directly resulted in favorable regulatory shifts for his clients.

Jamin is a frequent speaker in Korea about US tax issues.
