Emilio is part of the Mexico City office, his practices focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and real estate.

Emilio acts as legal counsel to corporations (public and private) and private equity funds with respect to mergers and acquisitions, including involving regulated industries, as well as joint ventures, both on the sell side and on the buy side.

Emilio is involved in the review, analysis, organization and drafting of documents in all stages of transactions, from inception and negotiation to closing and successful implementation.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Emilio worked in other prestigious firm in Mexico City as an associate in the M&A, Real Estate and Finance transactional areas, respectively, where he was part of the teams that carried out complex projects and transactions for various clients.

  • Represented Grupo Salud Auna México in the acquisition of the OCA Hospitals network in Monterrey, Nuevo León.
  • Represented Walton Street Capital on the acquisition of a portfolio of 25 industrial properties.
  • Represented Grupo Salud Auna México in the acquisition of the insurance company Dentegra Seguros Dentales.
  • Represented Fibra MTY in the acquisition of an Industrial portfolio of 46 industrial properties.
  • Represented a syndicate of banks in granting a loan for US$102,000,000 to a company in the oil sector.
  • Represented the shareholders and URBVAN on the sale of the company's shares to SWVL Holdings.
  • Represented Bank of Montreal and the syndicate of banks in the granting and structuring of a loan for a total amount of US$1,205,000,000.00 in favor of PanAmerican Silver Corp.
