Laura T. Rozas has over 25 years legal experience and concentrates on Puerto Rico and federal environmental law and Puerto Rico energy and land use law.
Laura has represented and advised clients on environmental permitting and regulatory matters in complex corporate and commercial transactions, including financings, mergers, acquisitions and public-private partnerships; has represented clients in environmental permitting proceedings and administrative enforcement actions before Puerto Rico and federal agencies; and has represented clients in connection with land use permitting and associated administrative and judicial appeals before Puerto Rico agencies and courts, respectively.
Laura has advised clients in environmental law matters in connection with the establishment and ongoing operations of petroleum distribution, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, maritime transportation, energy generation and transmission, hospitality and real estate development projects or facilities, among others.
Laura has also advised clients on Puerto Rico energy regulatory and transactional matters in connection with the establishment or ongoing operations of energy generation, transmission, and distribution projects.
Previously, Laura was partner at another major full-service San Juan-based firm where she established and developed their environmental law practice.
