DLA Piper adds Gurpreet Bal as a partner in the firm’s Silicon Valley Corporate practice

DLA Piper is pleased to welcome Gurpreet Bal as a Palo Alto-based partner in the firm’s Corporate Practice Group.

Gurpreet represents technology companies on corporate and securities matters in all stages of their business life cycle. He advises startup, venture-backed, private and public technology companies on a wide array of corporate matters, including formation, corporate governance, capital-raising and strategic transactions, among others. In both the US and abroad, Gurpreet has represented tech companies and investors in hundreds of private venture financings, capital raises and public offerings, from series seed private equity rounds to market-defining IPOs.

He also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, representing private and public companies globally in mergers, stock sales, tender offers, asset purchases, cross-border transactions, spin-offs, acqui-hires and other strategic transactions. Since 2010, he has closed more than 50 such transactions, with an aggregate deal value of over US$60 billion.

Gurpreet’s clients include leaders, innovators and investors in AI, semiconductors, healthcare, fintech, networking, security, consumer tech, food technology and social enterprise.
