DLA Piper partner Jamila Justine Willis named to Bloomberg Law's They've Got Next: 40 Under 40 list

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Jamila Justine Willis, co-chair of the firm’s Consumer Goods and Retail sector and chair of the New York Restructuring practice, was named to Bloomberg Law’s inaugural They’ve Got Next: 40 Under 40 list highlighting up-and-coming attorneys across various practices.

Willis’s recent work includes representing Abengoa and its subsidiaries in their global restructuring, medical device manufacturer REVA Medical Inc. in connection with its pre-packaged restructuring transaction, and Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. in connection with its acquisition of substantially all assets of Proteus Digital Health.

In her practice, Willis focuses on financial and corporate restructuring. She has extensive experience in complex restructurings across a number of industries. She represents debtors, distressed investors, sponsors, purchasers of distressed assets and other interested parties in a wide range of restructuring and insolvency matters, including cases under chapters 11 and 15 of the US Bankruptcy Code and cross-border insolvency proceedings.
