Jan advises multinational and regional clients on all aspects of employment law, covering a broad range of contentious and non contentious matters. She works with employers across a wide range of sectors, with particular expertise in the Technology sector, the Media, Sport and Entertainment space, and in Hospitality and Leisure.
Drawing on her in house experience while seconded to international clients, Jan is able to step into her clients’ shoes and deliver commercially focused, practical legal advice. Whilst London-based, Jan has also spent time working in our Paris and Hong Kong offices, further strengthening her global perspective and cross border practice.

EXPERIENCE
- Advising on a number of national and international corporate restructures, including advising a professional service firm across EMEA on all employment law aspects of the integration of a USD3.6 billion acquisition, including significant redundancy/reductions in force programmes.
- Supporting various listed clients on day-to-day HR queries including performance management and disciplinaries, termination strategies and agreements, and redundancy programmes.
- Acting as preferred advisor to several household names on litigious employment disputes.
- Successfully defending several complex Employment Tribunal claims (including on unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing) and appeals on behalf of clients across a variety of sectors.
- Successfully acting for GT Gettaxi (UK) Ltd in Johnson v GT Gettaxi (UK) Ltd [2024] EAT 162, an employment status case in which the Employment Appeal Tribunal determined that a driver for the taxi app Gett was not a "worker".
- Advising an international manufacturing company on UK disciplinary procedure and sanctions following a large scale audit and fraud investigation.
- Advising a global bank on the senior managers regime in over 40 countries.
- Supporting on numerous corporate transactions and large outsourcing negotiations.
