Alex Horder is a technology, outsourcing and commercial lawyer who works closely with a range of public and private clients (domestic and international) in respect of business-critical and strategic technology and commercial transactions, particularly in the financial services and technology sectors.
Alex is also the Australian Lead for DLA Piper’s Artificial Intelligence offering, working closely with the firm’s stellar global capability in this area.
More specifically, Alex advises clients on a broad range of matters, including digital transformation transactions, AI implementation and governance, a broad range of outsourcing transactions, systems integration and separation projects, commercial transactions, strategic sourcing and procurement projects, intellectual property commercialisation, data protection and privacy.
In addition, Alex brings value to clients due to his experience negotiating against a range of major, international technology and telecommunications providers, and has also been retained for three strategic secondments to two of Australia’s 'Big 4' banks, as well as one of the world's largest consumer goods manufacturers.
Alex also has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (majoring in Journalism) and has utilised this qualification in legal practice, where precision and clarity of expression are of paramount importance.
