David Alexandre is an Intellectual Property and Technology Partner at DLA Piper in Luxembourg. He advises multinational corporations, technology companies, media players, and digital platforms on a broad range of intellectual property, technology, data protection, and privacy matters, with experience in the media, telecommunications and e-commerce sectors.

David supports clients on strategic and complex matters, including the protection and enforcement of IP rights and the structuring of technology-driven projects. He combines legal and industry insight to help clients navigate evolving frameworks and manage risks in areas such as data protection, digital business models, and consumer regulation. His experience spans advisory, transactional, and contentious aspects of IP and technology law.

In addition to his client work, David is a regular lecturer in intellectual property at leading French postgraduate schools and universities and frequently speaks on data protection topics at Luxembourg associations. He is a founding member and serves on the scientific board of Pin Code, the first Luxembourg-based intellectual property and technology journal.

He is also involved in pro bono work with NGOs that fight against discrimination and the dissemination of hate speech.

  • Fix Dessert Chocolate LLC, the creator of the viral “Dubai chocolate” in its IP global protection strategy.
  • Beo Healthcare, a French health tech start-up, in the protection of its intangible assets worldwide.
  • Nintendo of America, Inc. on the protection and defense of its copyrights and trademarks over the Pokémon universe and characters across the EU, which notably included filing and managing criminal complaints against counterfeit goods and sending various C&D letters to infringers across the EU.
  • A Dutch videogame publisher in the context of the European branch of their worldwide dispute with videogame blockchain platform.
  • Avions de Transport Régional (ATR) on the global protection strategy of their IP assets.
  • A global leader in wireless technology, on the intellectual property due diligence related to its acquisition of a major alternative asset manager that invests in prominent technology, AI, and private equity firms.
  • An American multinational hospitality company on the acquisition of a German-based hotel chain, with a view to their European expansion.
  • My Connectivity, a Luxembourg economic interest group created in 2021 by the Luxembourg government and LUX-CI the delivery of highly technical reports in relation to the property rules applicable to vertical cabling in buildings for residential or mixed used, especially in the context of the implementation of the EU Gigabit Act in Luxembourg.
  • Cyberr, a Luxembourg-based cybersecurity recruitment services provider, in the launch of its new AI-based candidate matching and headhunting platform.
  • Invictus Wisdom S.à r.l., an innovative technology company launching and operating a digital rental platform called Deelen, on the full legal set-up of its IT legal framework.
