Nancy Welsh is a seasoned real estate attorney whose practice spans the full lifecycle of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, and large-scale development projects. She advises investment funds, institutional real estate advisors, REITs, hospitals, universities and developers across a broad spectrum of asset classes — multifamily, industrial and logistics, lab and life science, office, and retail.

Nancy brings a distinctive interdisciplinary perspective to her work.   • Represented a developer in the development of an approximately US$1.5 billion mixed-use, transit-oriented project comprising 2.4 million square feet in Union Square, Somerville, Massachusetts, including structuring a platform joint venture with a global real estate company
  • Represented a nationally recognized private university in connection with its Institutional Master Plan and Article 80 process, including the planned campus consolidation and negotiation of an agreement with a major developer for a new dormitory and student center
  • Represented a developer in the redevelopment of public housing in Chelsea, Massachusetts, into a new mixed-income development under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's PEHO Program
  • Represented a hospital in the acquisition of a new office and clinical building with tax-advantaged synthetic lease financing
