Ryan J. Moreno

Ryan Moreno is a seasoned finance attorney who represents banks and alternative lenders as the lead arranger in structuring, negotiating, and executing a wide range of complex finance transactions. With extensive experience across the capital stack, Ryan helps his clients navigate each stage of the lifecycle of a company or fund.

Ryan’s practice spans a diverse array of financial instruments and transactions. This includes portfolio-level debt, such as domestic and cross-border acquisition financings, asset-based financings, unitranche facilities, and securitizations, as well as fund-level debt, including subscription facilities, NAV facilities, hybrid facilities, and warehouse facilities. He collaborates closely with asset managers to establish back leverage facilities and loan programs. Further, Ryan also has notable expertise with bespoke structures for insurance company capital, such as rated note feeders and collateralized fund obligation (CFO) transactions.

In addition to his professional achievements, Ryan is deeply committed to pro bono work and community service. He actively serves on the Diversity Pipeline Initiative of the New York Bar Association and has managed the Thurgood Marshall Summer Law Internship Program in DLA Piper’s New York office since 2021.  This program provides invaluable opportunities for diverse, NYC-area public high school students to gain practical insights into the legal profession through internships with various legal employers, ranging from law firms and corporations to non-profits and government organizations. Ryan’s dedication to mentorship and community engagement underscores his passion for advancing equity and access within the legal field.
