Navigating the latest tariff announcements: Economic and tax considerations
A CLE and CPE WebinarWednesday April 9, 2025
We hosted a webinar with insights into the latest developments in tariff policies and their wide-ranging impacts. The Trump Administration has introduced a series of new tariffs on imports, which is anticipated to be followed by foreign jurisdictions’ issuance of reciprocal retaliatory tariff measures. If enacted, these new tariffs are expected to have significant implications for companies, consumers, taxes, and the broader economy both domestically and abroad.
During the webinar, our panelists discussed the following and more:
- The knowns and unknowns of the latest tariff announcements
- Economic considerations and impact assessments across key sectors and regions
- Strategies for managing tax implications
- Insights into the political landscape and potential disruptions
Our speakers included leaders from DLA Piper’s Regulatory and Government Affairs, Tax, and Tax Policy practices, and colleagues from the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE). Together, they offered their perspectives and practical advice to help you access, analyze and take action if needed in response to the evolving tariff landscape.
CLE credit was offered for this event.
