DLA Piper enhances Saudi Arabia offering with new office in King Abdullah Financial District
Global law firm DLA Piper reaffirms Saudi Arabia as a strategic priority market, with continued investment aligned to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 transformation, marked by the opening of a new office in King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), the country’s premier financial center.
The new office in Riyadh strengthens DLA Piper’s presence in Saudi Arabia, placing the firm at the center of KAFD, the country’s dynamic financial hub.
The firm’s expanding footprint represents a major milestone in its continued growth in the Kingdom and across the wider region. The opening of this new flagship office in Riyadh will enable the firm to work more closely with clients in the capital, while complementing its existing operations in Al Khobar.
The investment further strengthens DLA Piper’s ability to deliver integrated legal services across priority sectors including private equity and M&A, investment funds, national security, energy and renewables, critical minerals, AI and data regulation and sports and entertainment, alongside core corporate, finance, projects and regulatory capabilities.
John Gilluly, Global Vice Chair, Global Head of Transactions, commented: “Our presence in the King Abdullah Financial District reflects our commitment to the Kingdom as its role as a leading business and diplomatic hub grows. Our investment allows us to work more closely with clients based in Saudi Arabia and operating in the country, while also supporting capability building in the Kingdom in support of Vision 2030.”
Sandra Wallace, Co-Global Managing Partner for DLA Piper, added: “As a global firm operating in more than 40 countries, we are bringing the full strength of our platform to support the Kingdom’s growth and economic diversification as well as inbound investment and engagement. The opening of our new office marks an important step in strengthening our presence and responds to rising demand for sophisticated domestic and cross-border legal support across increasingly complex, high-value activity in the market.
