DLA Piper adds André Teixeira to its Finance practice in Washington, DC

DLA Piper has added André Teixeira as a Partner in the firm’s Project Finance practice. Based in DLA Piper’s Washington, DC office, Teixeira further enhances the firm’s cross-border finance capabilities across the US and Latin America, while complementing its global projects, infrastructure, and debt finance capabilities.

Teixeira brings more than 20 years of experience advising sponsors, investment funds, and financial institutions on complex financing transactions across the natural resources, infrastructure, and energy sectors. His work spans a broad range of projects, including solar, wind, hydroelectric, gas-to-power, and nuclear developments, and he regularly advises on cross-border transactions throughout the US, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.

"André’s arrival reflects our continued commitment to supporting clients wherever capital is deployed and growth is being driven," said Francisco Cerezo, head of the firm’s US-Latin America practice. "His experience advising on complex financings across jurisdictions further enhances our ability to deliver seamless, commercially focused counsel at the intersection of infrastructure, energy, and investment."

"In today’s environment, successful projects demand more than technical legal advice – they require advisers who understand the commercial, financial, and strategic considerations driving investment decisions," said Joe Stefano, who co-leads the firm’s Infrastructure, Construction and Transport sector. "André combines deep financing experience with practical market insight, helping clients structure transactions, mitigate risk, and advance critical projects with confidence."

DLA Piper advises on all aspects of financing, across borders, sectors, and financial products. The firm’s lawyers advise issuers, underwriters, selling shareholders, sponsors, arrangers, lead managers, originators, dealers, trustees, and depositaries on a broad range of capital markets offerings, including equity, equity-linked and debt securities, structured and project financings, and securitizations.
