About

Nadia Asancheyev brings two decades of leadership, problem solving, and entrepreneurship in national security law to DLA.

Nadia joined DLA from the National Security Division of the Department of Justice, including the Foreign Investment Review Section as a regulator for both CFIUS and Team Telecom. At the National Security Division’s Office of Law & Policy, Nadia represented DOJ at the National Security Council on the most pressing challenges of the day, and solved other complex issues with other federal agencies, including the intelligence community, in the national security space.

Prior to DOJ, Nadia led the Georgetown Center on National Security and the Law as it’s first executive director, where she taught national security law, was the managing editor of the Journal of National Security Law & Policy, and developed the next generation of national security leaders.

She began her career as a law clerk to the Hon. Richard Owen, in the Southern District of New York, and then as a white collar criminal defense associate in New York city.
