Freddie practices in the area of corporate law, with particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, joint ventures, equity capital markets, corporate reorganisations and corporate governance.

His clients include companies in a range of sectors including Financial Services, Technology, Life Sciences and Media, Sports & Entertainment.

Freddie has spent time on secondment at UK Government Investments, the UK Government’s centre of excellence in asset sales, corporate finance and corporate governance.

  • Advising Philip Morris International on its USD16b acquisition of Swedish Match, representing a significant milestone in the delivery of PMI’s vision to become a smoke-free business.
  • Advising GoHenry, a London-based fintech specialising in financial services for children, on its acquisition by US saving and investment company Acorns for an undisclosed amount.
  • Advising Hoist Finance on the GBP370m sale of its UK collections business and GBP585m unsecured loan book to Lowell Group, one of Europe’s largest credit management companies.
  • Advising the Snowfox Group on its USD621m sale (including brands such as YO! Sushi) to the leading Japanese food group Zensho, the largest Consumer exit by a UK Private Equity firm in 2023.
  • Advising Eagle Football on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Olympique Lyonnais football club, valued at c. EUR800m.
  • Advising Della AI, the legal technology AI startup, on its seed funding round.
