Camila Fajardo focuses her practice on regulatory and governmental affairs, advising national and international clients from various sectors on regulatory assessment, administrative procedures before different sectoral authorities, obtaining concessions and permits, participating in public bidding processes, and, in general, all matters related to the public sector in Chile.

Additionally, Camila is part of the Energy and Natural Resources team, where she provides advice on the development of energy projects (photovoltaic, hydroelectric, and wind) and environmental and sustainability analyses for diverse industries.

Since 2022, Camila has been the general coordinator of the pro bono program in Chile, standing out for her extensive experience in the regulation of non-profit entities. In this role, she manages and oversees the pro bono legal cases of the Chilean office, coordinates activities in collaboration with other international offices of DLA Piper and promotes various projects to facilitate access to justice.

  • A European underwriting company, in the due diligence and negotiation process of a buyer-side warranty and indemnity insurance policy, aimed to cover the buyer’s liability in the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Sol de Septiembre SpA, owner of a photovoltaic power plant in operation.
  • A Chilean digital platforms company focused on gamer and Esports matters in negotiating the contract for the provision of services with a relevant company in the national Esports industry to allow the broadcasting and diffusion of Chile's participation in a tournament to be held in Russia.
  • A major financial services company in preparing a memorandum with market analysis and applicable regulations regarding the telecommunications sector in Chile, with a special focus on fiber optic projects.
  • Transelec S.A. in the due diligence process and the negotiation and drafting of the SPA for acquiring the Ana María substation owned by Total Energies, located in the north of Chile.
  • A digital payments platform on the preparation of a memorandum on the legal possibility of implementing a new payment platform for charging customers in the highly regulated electricity market.
  • One of the world’s leading providers of mining and infrastructure solutions, on energy efficiency compliance, helping them navigate annual reporting requirements, audit procedures, and regulatory risks. We also supported their legal strategy in response to prior unsubmitted declarations.
  • A regional construction company on energy efficiency compliance, helping them navigate annual reporting requirements, audit procedures, and regulatory risks.
  • A major multinational mining company in its communication and liaison with a local government authority regarding the organization of a sporting event, in accordance with the client’s Sustainability and Relationship policy.
  • An international insurance company in drafting and negotiating the representations and warranties (R&W) insurance policy for a Chilean electricity production company to purchase 100% of the shares of another Chilean renewable energy generation company, which manages two operating wind farms located in northern Chile.
  • A European underwriting company, in the due diligence and negotiation process of a buyer-side warranty and indemnity insurance policy, aimed to cover buyer’s liability in the acquisition of 100% of a photovoltaic power plant in operation.
  • The largest airline holding company in Latin America conducted a comprehensive study of all waste generated in its operation, identifying each type of waste, its concept, the time of its generation, the mechanisms for preventing waste generation, and the mechanisms for waste disposal (both from the Priority Products Statute of Law No. 20,920/2016 and from regulatory provisions).
  • An energy company in the acquisition of two wind power projects developed in the Lakes Region. The acquisition will materialize with the acquisition of 100% of the shares of two companies incorporated in Chile, and the projects will reach a generation capacity of 18 MWac.
  • A major airline holding company with regulatory analysis on the air transportation of human organs, reviewing health and aviation regulations, and liaising with authorities like the Ministry of Health. Additionally, in the preparation of a legal summary of its reporting obligations to the Pollutant Release and Transfer Register of the Ministry of the Environment,
  • A global supplier of explosives to the mining sector, in preparing a Pertinence Consultation to increase the storage capacity of the Mejillones Plant.
  • A major player in the global tyre market, in the analysis of the need to obtain environmental and sanitary permits to develop its new project to increase the capacity of its tyre plant located in Maipú, Metropolitan Region.
