Amanda is a commercial lawyer focusing on the Telecom, Media and Technology industry for 10 years. She has rich experience in advising multinational organizations on market entry, licensing, cybersecurity, data protection and other regulatory matters. She also advises on technology and commercial contracts.

Amanda has assisted many clients in launching and operating various e-commerce, cloud-computing, internet of things and artificial intelligence projects in China. She has also acted as the leading counsel in large-scale data compliance projects and has been continuously supporting clients in designing compliance tools and remediation measures under the Chinese cybersecurity and data protection laws.

Amanda has obtained bar qualification in China.

EXPERIENCE

  • Assisting many multinational organizations in conducting data mapping, drafting privacy notices, formulating internal data governance policies and procedures, and reviewing data transfer agreements;
  • Assisting several multinational organizations in handling their cross-border data transfer assessments;
  • Assisting both Chinese and multinational clients in formulating local cybersecurity and information security compliance strategies and designing implementation measures; 
  • Advising clients on telecom licensing and other regulatory requirements to facilitate their launch of e-commerce, cloud computing and IoT projects in China; 
  • Assisting clients in handling various general commercial matters and supporting relevant negotiations.
