John Guarin is a Managing Director who runs DLA Piper's Latin America Tax Desk based in New York City. He focuses his practice on advising companies from several sectors on how to navigate the tax complexities involved with Latin America. John has extensive experience managing global international tax and corporate restructuring projects for U.S., E.U., China and Latin American-based multinational companies. He advises these companies on setting up international holding company structures; IP migration; regional operation headquarters; offshore procurement centers; nearshoring; legal entity elimination projects (liquidations, mergers, strike-offs); and/or review and realignment of supply chain structures.
