About

Jessica Jackson advises clients on a wide range of US employment matters, with a primary focus on transactional support and day-to-day counseling. Jessica regularly supports private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and strategic buyers and sellers on employment issues arising in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. Her deal support includes due diligence, risk assessment, post-closing workforce integration, and drafting of restrictive covenants and other ancillary agreements.

In her counseling practice, Jessica provides pragmatic, business-focused guidance on employment agreements, confidentiality and restrictive covenant arrangements, employee handbooks and personnel policies, independent contractor matters, and compliance with federal and state employment laws. Drawing on her past employment litigation and traditional labor experience, she brings a practical, solutions-oriented perspective to risk assessment, investigations, and dispute avoidance.

Jessica is committed to community engagement and serves on the board of From the Ground Up, an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization that delivers in-school programming with hands-on learning experiences related to community gardening and food education.
