About

Silvia Otárola focuses her practice on domestic and international commercial arbitration, public procurement, and the management of complex engineering and construction projects. She represents clients in high-stakes construction disputes, with a particular emphasis on alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as arbitration and dispute boards.

Her experience includes advising on disputes arising from major public and private infrastructure projects, covering sectors such as highways, sanitation systems, hospitals, and power plants. She regularly acts as counsel in arbitral proceedings administered by leading institutions, including the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), in both national and multinational cases.

Silvia combines technical expertise in construction law with strategic dispute management, positioning her as a key advisor for clients involved in complex infrastructure projects. In addition to her practice, she actively contributes to the legal community through the publication of specialized articles and participation as a speaker at conferences focused on construction law and international arbitration.
