Massimiliano deals with intellectual property law, assisting clients, both national and international, which make research, innovation and creativity their core business.

He mainly specializes on litigation concerning patents, trade secrets, trademarks, designs, copyright, geographical indications and unfair competition.

His experience also covers the negotiation and drafting of various agreements concerning the exploitation and enhancement of intellectual property rights, including contracts for the transfer or licensing of patents, trademarks and copyrights, as well as research and development agreements.

In 2021, he obtained an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from the WIPO Academy, with a dissertation titled “Plausibility of pharmaceutical patents in European case law”.

Before joining DLA Piper, he worked at an Italian law firm specialized in IP law and, as a trainee, at the Intellectual Property and Corporate Law Division of the Court of Appeal of Milan.
