  • Legal counsel to Xinfra Fibra E in subsequent M&A transactions in the energy and infrastructure sector.
  • Legal counsel to American Tower Corporation in the sale of its local fibre optics subsidiary redIT to Mexican digital infrastructure provider Flō Networks.
  • Legal counsel to Patrial Investments in certain potential investments in Mexico.
  • Legal counsel to Cognita Schools in certain potential investments in Mexico. 
  • Legal counsel to the shareholders of Chocolates Turin in the sale of 100% of their shares in such company to Mars Inc.
  • Legal counsel to the world's second largest processor and marketer of chicken, beef and pork, in its sale of its Mexican subsidiary.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Mauricio was a partner of an international firm, where he was a member of the M&A LatAm group. Mauricio also worked as a foreign associate at an important firm in New York; where, he participated in various complex M&A and private equity transactions involving target companies in Europe and Latin America.

Additional Information

Mauricio also teaches the course "Transactional Approach to Mergers & Acquisitions," at the course at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
