Jessie Buchan's principal areas of practice are in life sciences litigation, regulatory and compliance issues as well as all aspects of intellectual property branding, with a particular emphasis on brand protection, exploitation and enforcement, both in Australia and globally. 

Within the Life Sciences field, Jessie practices in contentious and non-contentious intellectual property law, primarily in the area of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biotechnology. Jessie has experience representing clients in multi-jurisdictional patent disputes in the life sciences sector, and she has acted in a number of patent infringement and revocation cases involving various inventions. 

Jessie's brand protection, exploitation and enforcement experience also extends to advising local, regional and global companies on branding and rebranding strategies and maximising their intellectual property portfolios. 

Jessie has in-house counsel experience, working as the primary legal counsel for a global healthcare company where she advised on complex regulatory and compliance matters, clinical trials, Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) pricing and general commercial transactions.
