Shane Murphy has a broad practice in corporate and commercial disputes, with particular experience in the mining, energy and infrastructure sectors.

He has acted for clients in a wide range of contract disputes (sales, royalties, financing, services, logistics, tendering, procurement, joint ventures, farm in / farm out and corporate transactions) and in disputes arising under the Australian Consumer Law, Corporations Act and related legislation.

Having worked in-house at two ASX top 20 companies, Shane knows the ever-increasing cost and time pressures facing boards, management and in-house counsel. With these firmly in mind, Shane collaborates with clients, colleagues and counsel to deliver strategic planning, effective project management and advice that is clear, practical and commercial.

Shane enlists legal processes selectively to serve this approach and has extensive experience in resolving disputes outside the court system by negotiation, mediation, expert determination and arbitration.
